Wholly Healed

I am so thankful to be able to write this post to update you once again. I have had the privilege of watching my sister and Tommy walk down the path that God has led them.  I have watched as they have opened their hands to His plan.  And today, I was able to watch as they met and loved on their new baby boy, Gabriel Patrick Morgan.  He was born earlier this evening, and Lauren and Tommy were so thankful to be able to hold their angel in their arms.  True to character, he was much bigger than we were expecting.  And stronger.  And even more beautiful.  Gabriel was with his family here on earth for several minutes.  Several sweet minutes.  I do not actually know how long because we were all so caught up in the moment.  But Lauren and Tommy got to see and hear and feel the life in their boy.  And for that we are beyond thankful!  His heart slowed, and his breaths stopped, but please do not be discouraged.  Do not think that your prayers were not heard.  Not answered.  Because they were in the best way.  Sweet Gabriel is now wholly healed.  I am so encouraged by friends and family who have shown such love to my sister and her family.  I am continuing to pray for Lauren and Tommy and Jack… for comfort, for peace, for joy, for hope.  And praying with a grateful heart that we got to meet Gabriel and that he is now wholly healed!

  1. Hi there and Carla called and told me about little Gabriel. I have been lead to pray and to continue for this beautiful life!
Lord, Please hear my prayer. As I know and other Christians know Gabriel is an archangel who typically serves as a messenger to humans from God. In the Bible, Gabriel is mentioned in both the Old Testament and in the New.
Lord there is another Gabriel and a family that really needs your hand on the issues that are upon them all. Just as the archangel has been important so is the precious life and love for the tuff issues that little Gabriel has before him. Please I ask you to put your Angels around him and the family and protect them. Let your strength and healing be upon them all Lord. Please help the doctors provide your healing knowledge and take care of the issues in a timely manner. I know that it is in your hands and close to your heart. I ask that your love be shown in each and every family member during the trials that are to come. Please help them Lord and let there be peace. Let there be a closeness come amongst Doctors, family, and Christians praying during this time. We love you and praise you Lord in ALL times. Thank You Lord for hearing my prayer. Amen!!!
Lord, also You said ask and you will receive, so Lord, I will continue to ask for a prayer for the beautiful life. Thank You Lord! Amen!!!

  2. Thanks, Lindsay, for keeping us posted on Gabriel. We too will continue to pray for comfort and peace, and for God’s outpouring of love on Lauren, Tommy, little Jack and your whole family.
    Much love,
    Dawn and Bill

  4. Celebrating Gabriel’s healing and praying for God to heal and comfort you all during this time of loss. Gabriel has such a purpose in God’s plan and is ministering to so many. Love and strength to you guys.

  5. I’m so happy you got to hold your sweet baby boy. My heart is broken for you and your family but I know God and your love for each other will get you through this. Your story is an inspiration to so many, and I’m so proud of your bravery through all of this. Praise the Lord that Gabriel is with Him and truly is wholly healed. My thoughts and prayers are with you…

    • Lauren, Tommy, and Jack, my heart goes out to you all. It really saddens me. I hurt as if he was my own. When I posted the prayer, I had just read that he was born. I had no idea that he had gone home to be with our father. I know God will help you and the family get through this, and my prayers will continue for you all.

  6. Lauren
Doug and I have been following your blog and praying for baby Gabriel for many weeks now. Our hearts are heavy for you now as we pray for God to continue to surround you with His presence, give you comfort and strength, provide healing to you and Tommy and Jack, Scott and Nancy, Lindsey and Bradley, Aunt Gail and Uncle Billy, and Tommy’s family.
We are so thankful that God allowed Gabriel to be held and loved on, before He called him home. Continually being lifted up – may comfort and peace be upon you – in only the way that our Lord and Savior can provide.

  7. Dearest ones, May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and give you peace. We love you so much. We hurt for you. We praise God that you got to hear, feel and hold Gabriel. We pray for healthy grieving to happen and for glorious hope to be in your hearts. Your journey will be felt and heard around the world. We pray as your precious family continues this journey.
    Love, Doris and Mark
